Our Chef

Andy Bates is a champion of British food and family-style cooking. His modern twists on classic dishes are fueled by his international travels and a passion for re-discovering great food. Andy brings the best of British food and international cuisines to Miami, including his award-winning signature cold-raised pies, scotch eggs and - of course - Fish n’ Chips. His roots as a classically trained pastry chef shine through in his delicious desserts, though. "You should always finish on a little bit of pudding," he says.

Andy starred on the Food Network UK’s Street Feasts and was a regular contributor on BBC’s Food & Drink. He also has his own cookbook.

Our FOOD & Events

The Avenue combines the best of Britain with European cuisines and world flavours from Andy’s travels, including the ever-popular and extravagant grazing tables, afternoon tea spreads and passed hors d'oeuvres.

Our events team can manage every detail from catering and staffing to decor and music for private parties, corporate events and special occasions of all kinds.

Everything is properly prepared by Andy Bates using locally sourced produce and independent suppliers wherever possible.
